Then I’ll build the exercises around that. Your child will practice behavior around water not „somewhere,” but right there with you. This builds trust and makes many things easier. You get a predictable schedule without inflexible course times. I’ll handle the instruction and appointment coordination.

How quickly can my child learn to swim in a private swimming lesson?
It varies from child to child. Many children are ready to get their “Seahorse” (a German swimming badge) after just one week. I take a structured approach and progress the exercises step by step. Your child will learn without distractions because no other children will be present. You'll use your own swimming pool, so there’s no need to get used to an unfamiliar pool. This often saves time.
Do I have to be present at the poolside for a private swimming lesson for my child?
No, you don’t need to accompany or direct the lessons. I will take care of the process and instruction. You don’t have to check if your child got enough practice. You don’t have to decide what comes next. You can relax again on vacation instead of constantly looking at the pool. I will work with your child at your location in a one-on-one setting.
What is your approach for anxious children in the water?
I carefully progress the exercises and avoid anything that might overwhelm them. I take a structured approach from one lesson to the next. I increase the challenge, but without pressure, and closely observe how your child reacts. I adjust the pace and the exercises. Your child learns without an audience and without comparison. This helps many children feel calmer.

Can my child get the "Seahorse" badge after private swimming lessons?
Yes. As a certified swimming instructor, I am allowed to administer the test for all badges to your child. If your child passes, they will also receive an official patch and a certificate.
